Max Born
This wine is made in homage to the German physicist Max Born , who shared the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1954 with Walther Bothe for their probabilistic interpretation of quantum mechanics.
Variety: Syrah 50%, Tempranillo 38% and Tintorera 12%
Aging: 11 months in French oak barrels
Alcohol Content: 14%
To the eye, this wine presents a deep, intense and enveloping ruby color.
The nose displays remarkable aromatic depth. Aromas of ripe black fruit such as blackberry, black plum, and black olive intertwine with livelier notes of red fruit such as cherry and cranberry. All wrapped in aromas of smoke, roasted coffee, dark chocolate, and a subtle hint of sweet spices.
On the palate, this is a dry wine with medium-high acidity that provides tension and freshness. The tannins are high with a rough, slightly powdery texture. The alcohol content is medium, well-integrated in a full-bodied wine with a pronounced flavor that faithfully echoes the fruity, toasted, and spicy notes of the nose. The finish is medium. The balance between fruit, tannin, and alcohol is remarkable. It's a wine that leaves a mark without overpowering it.
Although the wine already shows its character, it is in formation and will improve over time (2-5 years).
Lise Meitner
The production of this wine pays tribute to the Austrian scientist Lise Meitner, co-discoverer of the element protactinium and nuclear fission, although she never received the recognition she deserved. Her extraordinary life illustrates not only the scientific progress of the 20th century but also its injustices and disasters.
Variety : 100% Garnacha Blanca
Aging : partial, 4 months in French oak barrels
Alcohol Content : 13.5%
At first glance, it appears pale, old gold in color.
The nose offers a medium aromatic intensity, elegant and evocative. White flowers and ripe fruits such as yellow apple, lemon, peach, and banana emerge, with a juicy touch of melon. In the background, a mineral note reminiscent of phosphorus and a saline character give it depth and personality.
On the palate, it's a dry wine, with lively acidity that provides freshness and prolongs the experience. The alcohol content is moderate, allowing the wine to flow lightly, yet with a medium enough body. The flavors faithfully reflect what is perceived on the nose, and linger on the palate for a medium-long finish, leaving a pleasant and refreshing aftertaste.
This is a wine where fruit and acidity are perfectly balanced, its flavor lingering elegantly and offering a subtle yet interesting complexity. Although it has structure and freshness, it is now that it offers its most vibrant and refreshing expression. Ideal for sipping in the present and enjoying its liveliness.
